I’m a third-generation diamantaire, but becoming one wasn’t always my dream. I wanted to be an astronaut, fascinated by space, airplanes and the mysteries of the universe. My father, Nikeshkumar Sanghavi, encouraged me to join our family business, setting me on a path I hadn’t imagined for myself.
I learned the diamond trade from the ground up, from manufacturing and planning rough diamonds to sourcing and understanding the market. After six months in brokerage, I began buying and selling our own diamonds, teaching myself pricing through technology, research, daily learning and trial and error. Along the way, I became the first in my family to venture into GIA-certified solitaires and later, fancy-colour diamonds, drawn to their extraordinary rarity and individuality.
Today, I bring that hands-on experience, generations of industry knowledge, deep-rooted industry connections, and my own passion for exceptional stones and thoughtful design to MKE Diamonds. My goal is to help every customer find something they truly love, with honest guidance and choices that respect their budget. My simplest rule? I would never sell a piece of jewellery I wouldn’t be proud to wear myself.
